After 3 years of working for my company I am going to be moving to the Japan firm (still related but technically a different company). I'll be doing my same job, just in Japan so I'm very excited. :D

I'm going in August to get set up and hopefully find a place to live, and then start work in September!! Definitely going to try to go to the Kanjani8 Recital in Saitama〜

If anyone is in or around Tokyo please let me know and we can be friends ^^ (will also be looking for people to go to JE concerts with!)

Last August, I took my mom on her first trip ever outside of the US, to Japan! She had a lot of fun and is already begging to go back. So I made a short video of some of the things we did (sorry for the quality I used my iPhone to film most of this). We also did a few things outside of Tokyo (Mt. Fuji, Yokohama, Enoshima, etc)

I'm terribly awful at updating my LJ especially considering it's something I use so often...

But I was able to complete a few major life milestones since my last post, yay!

1. Graduated from college! (even did a double major in Japanese but even that could not even help my pathetic Japanese skills)
2. Studied abroad in Tokyo! (obtained some level of proficiency and then completely forgot everything upon coming back to the US)
3. Got a job! (and have kept it!)
and finally...
4. Went to a JE concert!

I was lucky enough to be in Tokyo for about 2 weeks for a SUPER last-minute business trip. (As in, they literally told me the night before to fly out at noon the next day...do you know how much fun packing is when you have 12 hours before your flight leaves?)

Read more...Collapse )

Yes I took a picture of the TV. For Nagase.

I've finally updated my lj layout (it's been what, 4 and a half years now? >.<)! I think I am officially the worst procrastinator ever.

Anyway, now that my internship has ended I'm back at home playing video games, and going on youtube and tumblr. XD Tumblr has become such a guilty pleasure but now that I actually know how to use it, it's become even more wonderful.

Also, as sort of a summer project I started uploading all of my "old" DBSK videos onto youtube that I figured many people who became fans of kpop through the Hallyu Wave haven't seen. In about a month I've gotten over 20,000 views so I'd say it's been a success so far. If you like DBSK go check it out at http://www.youtube.com/user/oldschooldbsk. It's actually been pretty hard to upload videos that won't piss off KBS, SBS, or MBC.

So yeah...that's my super exciting life right now.

...an update?? What is this thing called a journal entry?? Well after 3 years of not posting on my lj, I've returned! I never actually left, I still use my account daily and read other's journals, I just have a problem writing things myself.

The cause for my return is that at my internship I have literally no work to do currently, and facebook, twitter, games, email, etc are all blocked. But LJ survived somehow so yay! Something for me to occupy my 8-hour work day.

So currently, I'm not really into any new groups, still stan Arashi and DBSK (and JYJ) like no tomorrow. That new Korean group B1A4 caught my attention a little and I guess we'll see if they can keep it!

In terms of dramas, I finally finished Yankee-kun to Megane-chan which I had started over winter break. I really want to start Liar Game this week, especially since a male friend of mine recommended it to me. And he primarily watches anime so it must be pretty good to keep his interest.

(And I will really try to make a banner...and change the layout that I've had on this since 10th grade...I'm now going to be a junior in university >.<)

I'm posting just so when people look at my journal they don't see that i'm a failure at calc basically. I'm happy to say I passed with a 78 (not including the final which I got a 86 on!) I also got a 92 on chem and 100 on history but that was a joke anyways.....

So this summer I'm going to Orlando for TSA nationals (technology student association) so that will be fun hopefully. It's going to be so hot though....

And I've become completely obssessed with Arashi in the past months. I watched both Pikanchi movies in one weekend.

I admit though, I was Jun-baited (although Ohno is my favorite <3 <3 <3) along with my mom. I cannot wait until the movie comes out!! And Ohno's drama. July will be an amazing month! My friend also comes back from Korea then so she better have lots of presents for me. :D

I also plan on making a banner soon, I only haven't had one for like 6 months....^^;

So yeah..........life's been okay. School started on the 29th and I'm still adjusting.

Although I got a 40/100 on my AP Calc test....The average was a 62 and I made a lot of stupid mistakes. I felt bad though because my parents were suuuper disappointed. I'm going to use my remake on it on Tuesday though....

I WANT SJ's ALBUM NOW. I really just want to know what the concept is though. Maybe it's like a huge H.O.T revival or something?? But SJ is so good with pulling off the eternal cute image so why rumors of Yesung with green hair?? Or Kangin being bald and Eeteuk like tri-colored. It makes no sense.

And I love DBSK's Korean songs. Yeo Haeng Gi. <33333
I'm still sad that they're going to miss award season but at least Super Junior will be able to shine...at least, that's what I thought before all of this extreme hair business.

I finally made a header and an image for my userinfo. Too lazy to update it though.

I have school tomorrow for the first time in....a week. Three unexpected snow days in a row and then President's day too! But now Easter break is going to be a whole day off.

I have a Japan project due tomorrow. We got to choose our topics so I did 'Modern music in Japan'. Easiest paper ever. I think all I researched was the number of singles/albums and ranks on the Oricon chart. I also had to have a little poster which is going to have Yamapi, TVXQ, some j-rock band (undecided), and Ayumi Hamasaki on it.
